I have a 2000 ford explorer i think my fuel pump is going out.What are the symptoms?Help please?
loss of power and sometimes it seems like i cant get fuel when i am trying to excel. i have some shaking when stopped at a light.Also if it is the pump do you need to replace the whole assembly or just the fuel pump its self?
Also i just changed the fuel filter.We started having a problem when we had to start using gas with ethenol in it.My truck ran perfect until then.
Fuel pressure is determined by hooking up a gauge to the service port on the fuel rail. Take the readings with key on engine off, as well as key on engine on, compare to the specifications and you will know if it's the fuel pump or not.
