Pallet Trucks â Rough Terrain
A rough terrain pallet truck is specially built to move product in working conditions of uneven, rugged gound. It does the same job as a normal pallet truck but can be of a sturdier build and because of the straddle of the forks can lift pallets that a normal pallet truck might not.
Any business or industry that works in conditions that involve uneven, rough terrain might need a rough terrain pallet truck. If you work on a farm, construction site or garden centre where the terrain isn't even enough to use a standard pallet truck then a rough terrain pallet truck may be the answer. When choosing pallet trucks it's a good idea to talk to your employees to get their feedback about what they need to do the job and talk to your Health and Safety advisor about safety. There are a variety of rough terrain pallet trucks built for indoor and outdoor use to choose from.
Larger tyres
Rough terrain pallet trucks have larger pneumatic tyres than standard pallet trucks to give more stability and gripping properties.
Forks
The straddle forks are of strong construction and the positions of the forks can be adjusted to accommodate a range of different pallets. These can be widened or highered and lowered as required.
Build
The steel frames are built to lift heavy loads. The instruction manual has information of what the load bearing weight of the pallet truck is. Â
Safety
A rough terrain pallet truck can help to minimize accidents by accessing places where many normal pallet trucks cannot gain access to. Familiarise yourself with the safety manual before operating this pallet truck.Â
The rough terrain pallet truck lends great strength and versatility to the less accessible harsher jobs that may otherwise have needed a fork lift truck.Â

Starting Pay at Home Depot?
for someone who knows how to drive and is licensed for hi-lows, electric pallet jacks and sit down fork lifts. He is also aware of how to drive other machines and willing to learn more. How much would starting pay be?
I would say $18.00-$21.50 an hour.
