How many years does it take a koi grow to a foot long?

I have 5 koi and they are all around 6 - 8 inches. I have had them for a while now and was wondering when they will reach over a foot

Well the answer to this is not pretty straight forward as there are a few factors that can affect the size or growth of your koi.
