Belt Pulley
how do you remove the bottom fan belt pulley on a rover 600 honda engine?
To remove the nut holding the pulley, fit a ring spanner over the nut, and jam the end of the spanner to the engine where it will be held fast when you turn the engine. Fix the spanner in position the opposite way the engine rotates. Then just give the engine a quick short turn with the igniton key and the nut will be loose enough to unscrew. Lever the pulley off by levering it equally on both sides, and be careful you dont lose the key that is locked on the pulley. Then Do not turn the engine at all or you will throw the timing out.
